Preamble

The information collected by SOGECO is that which appears on the form you have completed on the SOGECO Website, in particular in the case of an unsolicited application; they are processed by SOGECO. The purpose of this privacy notice is to provide you with information about the processing of your personal data and your rights.

2. Use of personal data by the Company: purposes and legal bases for the processing of personal data

Your personal data is collected and used by the Company:

• At your request, as part of pre-contractual measures, to evaluate your application for possible employment;

• Unless you object (see the “Your rights” section of this information notice), to meet the Company’s legitimate needs in terms of managing and improving (i) its recruitment, or (ii) its communication.

3. How we collect your personal data

Your personal data is mainly collected directly when you fill in the application form, in particular the application form, on the SOGECO Website, and, where applicable, throughout a recruitment process (interviews, etc.).

Concerning an unsolicited application on the SOGECO Website, certain personal data (in particular references) may, unless you object (see the “Your rights” section of this information notice), also be collected indirectly, through third parties (such as former employers, service providers involved in the recruitment process, etc.).

4. Recipients of your personal data

The personal data you have provided by filling in the forms on the SOGECO Website will be transmitted to the dedicated teams within the Company or the group to which it belongs.

Thus, in the event of an unsolicited application, your personal data will be transmitted to the teams in charge of recruitment and to the team concerned by the position to be filled.

Your data may be transmitted to companies or organizations outside the Company or the Africa Global Logistics Group that participate in the recruitment process, such as IT service providers, external recruiters, temporary employment agencies or higher education institutions.

5. How long we keep your application data

Your personal data will be kept for two (2) years by the Company.

6. Your rights

You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • A right of access to your personal data. However, exercising this right may not allow you to access personal data relating to other natural persons;
  • A right to rectification and a right to erasure of your personal data. It is specified that this right may only be exercised to rectify factual data, the material accuracy of which can be verified by the controller with the support of evidence;
  • A right to restriction of processing;
  • A right to request the transfer of your personal data to another responsible body (right to portability). This only applies to personal data provided by the person on the basis of consent or a contract;
  • A right to object to the processing of your personal data, when such processing is not necessary for compliance with a legal obligation or for the performance of your employment contract, and subject to characterising the existence of reasons related to your particular situation.

We will endeavour to comply with your request within a reasonable period of time.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority for the protection of personal data, if you consider that the processing of your personal data does not comply with the applicable regulations in this area.
We may, in the cases provided for by the regulations, refuse to comply with your requests concerning some of your rights (in particular the right to deletion), for legitimate reasons such as the need to defend legal rights.
